WOMEN IN NEED MINISTRIES LAUNCHES $500,000 CAMPAIGN TO ESTABLISH “WIN HOUSE” — A SAFE HAVEN FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN TRANSITION
Cleveland, OH – October 1, 2025 — Women in Need Ministries (W.I.N.), a Cleveland-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and girls who have survived trauma and life transitions, has announced the launch of a $500,000 fundraising campaign to acquire and renovate the WIN House—a transitional living facility designed to provide safe, supportive housing for women and children affected by domestic violence, homelessness, and crisis situations.
Founded by Doniella Ligon, W.I.N. has become a trusted resource in the Greater Cleveland community, providing programs in health and wellness, economic empowerment, education, skill development, domestic violence prevention, psychosocial support, and digital literacy. The organization’s mission is simple yet profound: to provide hope and help for people in transition—meeting their basic needs and empowering them to WIN.
“The WIN House will be more than just a shelter—it will be a home,” said Doniella Ligon, Founder and Executive Director of W.I.N. “We’re creating a place of restoration where women and children can heal, rebuild, and rediscover their strength. This campaign invites our community to stand with us in making that vision a reality.”
The $500,000 campaign will fund both the acquisition and renovation of the facility, transforming it into a fully equipped residential center offering:
- Private and family living spaces
- Counseling and wellness rooms
- Life-skills and digital literacy labs
- Career development and mentorship programs
Beyond providing safe housing, the WIN House will serve as a launchpad for long-term success—helping residents gain independence, education, and economic stability while rebuilding confidence and community connection.

W.I.N. invites individuals, organizations, and businesses to partner financially or through advocacy to bring the WIN House vision to life.
